Jonathan Coachman Drops Explosive Video Rant Over WrestleMania 42 Location Shift

Jonathan Coachman isn’t just mad—he’s fed up. And now he’s putting WWE and TKO Group on full blast.

After reports surfaced that WrestleMania 42 is “very, very close” to being moved to Las Vegas for a second straight year, Coachman jumped on Twitter to vent. But it didn’t stop there. After two scathing tweets slamming WWE for backing out of New Orleans, Coach dropped a third post—this time with video—and aimed it directly at fans defending the move.

“Emergency hot take: this one for ALL of those commenting that this Mania move makes sense. TELL ME I AM WRONG👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾 (this just might be a new segment),” Coachman wrote, attaching a 2-minute clip where he doubled down and delivered a blistering reality check.

In the video, Coachman addressed the online backlash to his earlier posts and aimed his frustration at those excusing WWE’s decision:

“Jonathan Coachman. Two emergency takes in one day. This one—I am speaking directly to all of those people on Twitter who just commented on my last post. The tens of thousands of you that said, ‘Coach, we’ve had WrestleMania back-to-back venues in the same place before.’ Really? You’re going to go back 30 years? 40 years?”

“What about New Orleans? Can you imagine the Super Bowl saying to Detroit, ‘Hey Detroit, we’re taking the Super Bowl away—but guess what? You get the Pro Bowl instead.’ Do you like that?”

He then praised New Orleans officials for being diplomatic in public, but he made it clear there’s more frustration behind the scenes:

“I’ll give New Orleans a lot of credit. They’re saying all the right things. ‘We’re trying to work with our relationship with TKO.’ Well, let me tell you this—I have friends who still work at WWE. I went to 16 WrestleManias. I’ve had to experience it.”

“Plus, I currently work with people who worked WrestleMania this year in Las Vegas. And you know the feedback I got? It was a nightmare. Logistically—to get across town in some parts of the day took two to three hours. Just to try to go to the fan fest. And then I gotta get over here to the roast.”

He finished with a brutal takeaway that cut right to the heart of WWE’s motives:

“There’s a lot of reasons that TKO is doing this. None of them is for the fans. So please stop thinking that they are. Right now, it doesn’t make a lot of sense. And hot take.”

Coachman’s outburst follows WWE’s quiet removal of WrestleMania 42 from New Orleans, which was originally announced with The Rock earlier this year. WWE and the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation issued a vague joint statement saying the event would be “moved from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”

Now, all signs point to Las Vegas reclaiming WrestleMania next year, with Allegiant Stadium reportedly in final talks to host the show on April 18 and 19.
