Lex Luger Reveals Who He Wants to Induct Him Into WWE Hall of Fame

Lex Luger is getting his long-overdue spot in the WWE Hall of Fame, but he doesn’t want to take the stage alone. The wrestling legend has made it clear—if it’s up to him, he wants two people inducting him: Sting and Diamond Dallas Page.

Speaking on 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff, Luger shared his hopes for having both of his longtime friends at his side when he accepts the honor during WrestleMania 41 weekend.

“Oh, yeah. It’s real short, two guys. I’m trying to get two guys instead of one. I speak at recovery centers and at churches and stuff. I’m not good at scripted, like an iPad outline. I like to just speak from the heart and be extemporaneous, speak when I speak. So I’m like, well, guys, can I have…has anybody had two guys? Because I’ll probably want to do just a few minutes from my heart when I get up there,” Luger said.

He added that having Sting and DDP supporting him would mean everything, especially considering DDP has been helping him regain some mobility.

“DDP and I have been trying to work on the walk. We’re not there yet. So I go, we’re hoping, but man, if I could have my two guys up there with me, man, DDP on my shoulder kind of spotting me and Sting on the other, if it’s possible. I go, man, that would be amazing. So we shall see. If I have anything to say about that, that would be my pick. That would be, for me, the ultimate. That would be pretty cool, that would be amazing. For me, at least.”

During a live reaction video to Luger’s Hall of Fame announcement, Eric Bischoff was asked if WWE would allow Sting to be the one to induct The Total Package. His response? Not only would WWE allow it, but they’d welcome it.

“Not only can I assure you WWE would—I don’t even like to use the word ‘allow’—WWE would welcome Sting to the Hall of Fame ceremony, particularly if that’s what Lex requested,” Bischoff said.

He also dismissed the online speculation that WWE holds grudges against former AEW stars, making it clear that Sting’s time in AEW wouldn’t impact their decision.

“One of the false perceptions and impressions is that WWE is territorial… that, ‘Oh, he used to work for AEW, so we better not let him on our TV.’ Nobody thinks like that—really, they don’t.”

Whether Sting ultimately takes the stage to induct Luger remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—WWE isn’t playing gatekeeper when it comes to honoring a legend. If Luger wants Sting, it sounds like the door is wide open. Now, it’s just a matter of making it happen.

Should WWE allow Luger to have two inductors, or should he stick to tradition with just one? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
