Nikki Bella’s WWE return on the June 9 episode of RAW didn’t end with nostalgia—it ended with a boot to the face and a feud igniting fast. After weeks of speculation, it’s now confirmed that Nikki Bella and Liv Morgan are kicking off a program, and sources say it’s building toward a showdown at the WWE Evolution premium live event on July 13.
RAW took place in Phoenix, Arizona—Nikki Bella’s hometown—and the crowd was firmly behind their Hall of Fame favorite. WWE aired a video package recapping her career before cutting to a backstage segment where she was seen chatting with Maxxine Dupri and Natalya. Bella later met face-to-face with WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY, introducing herself to the champ as the crowd cheered.
But things shifted when Nikki hit the ring to talk about the upcoming Evolution event, the second all-women’s PLE, which she headlined back in 2018. While she hyped several names from today’s roster, she mispronounced Stephanie Vaquer’s name—and Liv Morgan wasn’t feeling any love.
Morgan stormed out and got in Bella’s face, furious that her name wasn’t mentioned in the speech. The Women’s Tag Team Champion didn’t hold back.
“I’m the most talented woman in this division and I keep proving it,” Morgan shouted in front of the Phoenix crowd.
She continued tearing into Nikki, saying Bella was “lucky I wasn’t around back then, because I would have taken your title.” Morgan even accused Nikki of being jealous of her current success, including her championship reign and romantic life.
“You’re jealous of me because I have a championship and a man,” she snapped.
Nikki didn’t stay quiet. She clapped back with a stinger that left the crowd gasping.
“I’m still trying to figure out who Dominik Mysterio belongs to—Liv or Roxanne Perez. Maybe you should congratulate Roxanne for taking your title shot… and your man.”
Liv wasn’t hearing it. She fired back by calling Nikki nothing more than “a reality show diva,” before dropping her in the center of the ring with her finisher, the Oblivion.
It was a fiery segment with a real spark, and it turns out that wasn’t a one-off. A backstage source has confirmed to Ringside News that Nikki Bella and Liv Morgan “are starting a program,” and that this angle will likely lead to a match at WWE Evolution in Atlanta. The current plan isn’t fully locked in, but one option being considered is a tag team bout involving Liv and Raquel Rodriguez defending the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Nikki and a returning Brie Bella.
Nikki and WWE have had their share of rocky moments over the years, but her RAW appearance shows the door is clearly wide open again. With Evolution around the corner and Liv Morgan at the peak of her character’s heat, this rivalry could turn personal fast.
If they do collide at Evolution—especially in a tag match involving the Bella Twins—it could be one of the most talked-about moments of the night.
Nikki Bella’s return didn’t go as planned, but it might’ve just set up her next big moment in WWE.
