Roxanne Perez’s heel work was great during this, running like a coward at first but then focusing much of her offense on Grace’s leg. Their back and forths were solid, the audience were mostly invested in the action, and they told a decent story of Grace looking to overcome an injured leg and make a name for herself in NXT, which she ended up doing.
Not everything was perfectly executed, and the story itself wasn’t anything too special when compared to some of the other bouts on the card, but this was more something simple done fairly well. In the end, Grace picked up the win in pretty unceremonious fashion, ending a solid contest.

Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer went back and forth in a match that had a big fight feel for the NXT Women’s Championship and NXT North American Championship. They showcased some great chemistry, good transitions, and big moves. It felt like they could have gone to an even higher level in terms of quality and performance, but it was still a strong main event.

What has been CM Punk’s best match in WWE since he made his epic return?
The finish came a little abruptly as the match was quite short, but the post-match celebration for double champion Stephanie Vaquer created the feeling of a brand new era for the NXT women’s division. Giulia’s supposed injury likely hampered things, and it could only reach a certain level due to the time constraints.

The start of this match didn’t quite live up to the intensity of the feud going in, and this was felt in some weak chair shots, slightly convoluted and forced spots, but things quickly turned around and became great.
Many of the spots looked good and popped the audience, but it was hard to escape the notion that some of these spots were set up ahead of time and were obvious before they happened. It certainly got better as the match went on, with Evans in particular looking fantastic as he flew through the air and put together some memorable moments, such as a wild Springboard Cutter on a steel chair to end the match and pick up the victory. Evans’ performance in terms of his hatred towards Page was felt throughout, showing a great improvement in psychology for the young star, crafting a match infinitely better than their last at Vengeance Day.

It was a clash of generations as the younger Fraxiom battled the iconic Hardys. The New York City crowd were loud for the whole thing with duelling chants, creating a good atmosphere for a match that showcased Fraxiom’s quick offense, and allowed The Hardys to showcase all their greatest hits to please the audience.

AEW Grand Slam: Australia 2025, Every Match Ranked & ReviewedÂ
AEW Grand Slam: Australia may not have been a PPV, but was still a great night of wrestling featuring Adam Copeland, Jon Moxley, Toni Storm and more.
The in-ring work was great, with The Hardys throwing back the years and keeping up with the faster duo. It wasn’t always totally fluid, but in a way that helped to add to the authenticity of the action. The Hardys winning and successfully defending their TNA World Tag Team Championship gold was predictable, but there was enough back and forth to convince fans at times that the result was going to be an upset.

This was a hoss fight between two beastly performers who went to battle with some heavy blows in front of a crowd who treated this like a titanic clash. It was fun to see two behemoths throw each other around with big power moves, slams through the announce tables, and more.
The action ran slow on a few occasions, but for the most part the match was full of energy and the audience grew as the action did. This was another case of the result being pretty predictable as Oba Femi walked out still NXT Champion, though it didn’t impact the audience’s enjoyment. The TNA/WWE partnership has proven to be a lot of fun, specifically with matches such as this.
