WWE is constantly evolving and changing with the times. The company has to always think of new storylines, fresh characters, and innovative match stipulations to entertain the fans. That’s why there have been so many changes over the years, and that places plenty of pressure on Triple H’s shoulders as WWE’s ultimate decision-maker.

4 Harsh Realities WWE Fans Need To Accept About The Triple H Era
While WWE has improved under Triple H’s creative vision, new problems have risen that fans are going to have to get used to.
He loves the history of professional wrestling, which is why he’s brought back concepts such as WarGames and Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, he’s also innovative and forward-thinking, hence his success with NXT. That’s why it’s likely that he will make some changes in the future and remove some stale concepts that exist within WWE.
The WWE Draft
The WWE Roster Is Too Free Flowing For This To Work
- WWE doesn’t take the brand split seriously enough to warrant this.
- The drafts don’t produce big reactions now.
- Raw and SmackDown GMs recently did transfers between brands.
The WWE Draft was an exciting night of the year, with the company making a big deal out of wrestlers moving between Raw and SmackDown. For a while, it was pretty exciting because WWE was strict with the brand split, and talent wouldn’t interact with each other unless they were drafted.
However, over the years, this has started to become redundant because the company isn’t as strict with that. Wrestlers often just pop up on the opposing brand for one-off appearances, which adds excitement to the shows overall because fans never know what to expect.

Triple H has rocked some legendary looks… and a few ugly attires fans wish he never wore.
That’s why a whole WWE Draft night isn’t needed. WWE recently ran a period where transfers were able to happen and the General Managers swapped a few people around, which was a better idea as it keeps the shows fresh. But a whole WWE Draft night simply isn’t needed as a concept because it doesn’t mean anything.
WWE PLE Pre-Shows
They Have Already Been Reduced To A YouTube Show
- The pre-shows used to feature a match.
- The concept feels stale at this point.
- This is mainly used as a free way to advertise the show before a PLE.
Adding pre-shows to WWE’s premium live events was something that Vince McMahon pushed for during the WWE Network era, seemingly to provide even more content. These would feature a panel of legends discussing the upcoming show, offering their opinions and analysis on the storylines and who might win.
While it can sometimes be entertaining, the main issue with the pre-show concept is that it rarely provides any new information or value. It gets people thinking about the show, but it also feels like a full hour that is easily skippable for most people, especially now that WWE no longer puts any matches on them.
Before, there would be at least one match on a pre-show, which would give fans a reason to tune in. But now that’s gone, this seems like something that could be cut as a cost-saving measure if WWE needed to make one.
A Yearly Hell In A Cell Match
Triple H Already Removed The WWE Hell In A Cell PLE
- WWE watered down this iconic stipulation.
- It no longer has the same level of appeal as it once had.
- Triple H needs to put the match on ice for a while.
A Hell in a Cell match is one of WWE’s most interesting stipulations, but for the longest time it became overused and watered down. This was mainly due to WWE feeling the need to have multiple Hell in a Cell matches each year, generally with all of them being on the same night at a branded premium live event.
Triple H removed that show, which was the right step. But the matches have still happened consistently, which isn’t necessary anymore. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre had a fantastic storyline that felt like it needed to conclude inside that structure last year, but that doesn’t mean there has to be a Hell in a Cell match in 2025.
Instead, Triple H should limit how often these occur to ensure they feel as special as possible. Fans want to be drawn to these matches and feel like they’re must-sees, and at the moment, this is an old concept that doesn’t have that pull anymore.
Money In The Bank Matches
Triple H Is Reportedly Not A Fan Of The Gimmick
- The 2026 Money in the Bank is already confirmed.
- Triple H was never involved in this concept as a wrestler.
- This would lead to the removal of an entire PLE that’s popular with fans.
A significant change that Triple H might look to make in the future is getting rid of the Money in the Bank ladder match, which would also end the annual premium live event. This would be a massive decision as this concept is something that many fans still enjoy, but after two decades, there’s no doubt that it does feel stale.
WWE has exhausted all possibilities regarding storylines that follow from it, and the same can be said for ladder matches themselves. Triple H is reportedly not a fan of the gimmick, which will instantly put the Money in the Bank concept at risk moving forward.

Money in the Bank continues to be a popular gimmick match, but what does Triple H think of the concept and briefcase?
There could be new creative ways for wrestlers to earn an instant title match because, as a concept, that idea is interesting. But switching up how that’s created might not be the worst decision in the world, even if people don’t want to admit it.
