Nikki Bella Claims Happy Gilmore 2 Cameos Will “Shock Everyone”

Nikki Bella isn’t just thriving as a WWE Superstar after returning last week; she’s also part of the highly anticipated Happy Gilmore 2 movie. Ahead of its release, Bella has now talked about her experience working with Adam Sandler and revealed some details about the film.

While speaking on the Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Bella said Happy Gilmore 2 was the best set she’s ever worked on, and it came at a perfect time in her life. She filmed it in the fall and said it truly made her believe that laughter really is the best medicine.

Bella added that being on set with Adam Sandler, who was in charge, was amazing. She explained that for many of them, it was their first time doing a big movie like this, but Adam Sandler made everyone feel super comfortable.

“Happy Gilmore 2—I will say the greatest set I’ve ever been on and like so needed at the time of my life. I filmed it in the fall, and it did make me believe that when they say laughter is the best medicine, it truly is. Here I’m on set and Adam Sandler obviously is running the show and couldn’t be more incredible—he is like—and what I loved is there was a lot of us that it was like a first-time, like big feature film. He made you feel so comfortable.”

Bella said Sandler would watch their takes, give great advice, and never make anyone feel bad. Instead, he lifted people up and helped them do even better. Nikki Bella noticed he treated everyone that way and said it helped her understand why he’s so successful and why his movies do so well.

Bella added that the entire experience was full of laughter, everyone was constantly cracking up, and the whole cast did an incredible job. She admitted that sequels can sometimes be disappointing, but in this case, the movie turned out even better than expected.

“And like you would do some of your takes, then he’d come and he’d give great advice. And he never put you down, he never made you feel bad about yourself. If anything, he would amp you up and you would perform even better. And I would watch him do this with everyone. And I was like, wow, like I get it with him, and like the success and why his movies are so successful.

And also you never stop laughing—like the whole time, everyone was dying laughing. And everyone crushed it. Like, you know sometimes with sequels you’re like, is this going to be good? What I can tell you, without giving stuff away—it’s even better. And it’s probably the best sequel to any big movie.”

Nikki Bella said she believes people will be really surprised when they see it. Even though she knew the script, Bella was amazed watching all the performances and surprise cameos. In fact the movie was so good, they had to keep editing it down because comedies usually can’t be longer than two hours. But she says it easily could have been two and a half hours long.

“But I think everyone’s going to be so shocked when they watch it, because even like—obviously I know the script—but watching what I did and seeing all these different performances and cameos, I’m like oh my gosh, this is going to be insane.

I heard it was so good and they had to keep cutting it down, ’cause I didn’t realize like comedies are only supposed to be 2 hours, like not more. And they could have made the movie easily two and a half.”

Nikki Bella was featured in the latest trailer for the movie and apart from her, the movie will also feature MJF as well as Becky Lynch. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if the movie will surpass all expectations once it releases this year.
