WWE May Be Forced to Vacate Women’s Tag Titles Ahead of Evolution After Liv Morgan Injury

With WWE Evolution set for July 13, 2025, major changes could be coming to the women’s division—especially concerning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Following Liv Morgan’s confirmed shoulder dislocation on RAW, Wrestling Observer Radio speculated that WWE might be forced to vacate the tag belts, throwing previously mapped-out plans into serious question.

On the June 16, 2025 episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer broke down the injury’s possible fallout—starting with what’s next for the titles held by Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

“They’re going to have to vacate those Women’s Tag Team Titles now,” Alvarez said bluntly.

Meltzer added, “Conceivably.”

Alvarez continued, explaining that the real question is how much damage was done when Morgan’s shoulder came out of place. Recovery timelines could vary depending on whether it was a clean dislocation or something more complex.

“If the shoulder’s dislocated and you pop it back in, then… it could be a long time, it could be not a long time. I guess it depends on how much damage was done when it came out,” Alvarez said. “There are people that their shoulder gets popped out and they get their shoulder put back in and… rather quickly they’re ready to go again. So I think in a couple days we’ll probably know.”

Meltzer responded, “It didn’t look good.”

Later in the show, as they discussed potential plans for Evolution, the two addressed Liv Morgan’s angle with Nikki Bella and the lingering rumors of Brie Bella’s return.

“We’re in the middle of Liv and Nikki Bella, which is clearly going somewhere,” Alvarez pointed out.

Meltzer clarified, “That’s probably a tag match if Brie’s coming back. And, you know, the last I heard, they’re talking to Brie.”

Alvarez added, “And it would be against Liv and Raquel for the titles.”

With Morgan injured, WWE is now staring down a tough decision. If she can’t recover in time, the company may have no choice but to vacate the titles, leaving the Evolution tag match in limbo.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were reportedly set to face the Bella Twins at Evolution in a marquee tag team title match. If Morgan’s recovery stalls, those plans may be off the table entirely.
