The wait for Dark Side of the Ring is almost over. VICE TV has officially released the full lineup for season six, set to premiere on March 25, 2025, at 10/9c. This season is packed with controversy, tragedy, and shocking untold stories from wrestling’s darkest corners.

The season kicks off with an inside look at Mick Foley’s legendary and brutal Hell in a Cell ‘98 match against The Undertaker. Foley, known for his ability to endure insane levels of punishment, will relive every painful moment of the match that nearly ended his career. “From the first terrifying fall off the cage to the impact he still feels today, Mick Foley relives a wrestling match, ‘Hell in a Cell ’98,’ moment by moment.”

From there, the show dives into the blood-soaked history of The Sheik, a pioneer of hardcore wrestling who influenced generations with his violent, no-rules style. His legacy left a lasting impact, but those who stepped into the ring with him often walked away scarred for life.

The story of Tony Atlas, one of the first major Black wrestling stars, will be covered as well. With a physique that turned heads and charisma that made him a star, Mr. USA had everything—except the backstage support needed to reach the top. His battles with racism, addiction, and his own ego ultimately kept him from fulfilling his full potential.

Another episode will cover Muhammad Hassan, a character who became one of WWE’s most controversial villains. Played by Marc Copani, the Arab-American character was pushed heavily in the early 2000s but quickly became too much for WWE to handle in a post-9/11 world. “Just three years post-9/11, Marc Copani sees the highs and lows of wrestling when he’s given the chance to portray Muhammad Hassan, a villainous Arab-American character for the WWE.”

The season will also tackle the tragic downfall of Shannon Spruill, better known as Daffney, whose unique presence and piercing scream made her a fan favorite. Behind the scenes, she struggled with bipolar disorder, a battle that would ultimately claim her life.

The episode lineup continues with profiles on Big Van Vader, whose intimidating presence and in-ring dominance masked a struggle with uncontrollable anger, and Billy Jack Haynes, whose shocking life choices led to him being behind bars, charged with the second-degree murder of his wife.

Ludvig Borga, real name Tony Halme, also gets a spotlight. Known for his short but impactful WWF run, his real-life persona was even more extreme—transitioning into a far-right politician whose career was marked by controversy.

The legendary Superstar Billy Graham will have an episode detailing how he paved the way for wrestling’s biggest stars but ultimately found himself on the wrong side of WWE history due to his battles with steroids and fallout with Vince McMahon.

VICE TV is once again pulling back the curtain on the wrestling industry’s most shocking, tragic, and chaotic stories. With season six just weeks away, fans will soon get a deeper look at the moments that shaped—and in some cases, destroyed—some of wrestling’s most infamous names.
