Ashante Adonis deeply cares about his family and he’s currently going through a hard time. This is because Adonis has revealed his uncle was shot multiple times recently and a GoFundMe was set up to help his uncle.
Adonis took to his Instagram story and announced that his uncle was shot five times. He asked for support and said any help would be greatly appreciated. He also linked the GoFundMe for fans to provide support, saying, “My uncle was shot 5 times. If anyone would be kind enough to support. Much Appreciated.”
In the GoFundMe post, Ashante Adonis’ relative shared more about what happened to Maurice, who was shot five times over Memorial Day weekend 2025 while on his way to a construction job.
It was noted that Maurice is a hardworking father, grandfather, uncle, brother, son and friend. Doctors didn’t think he’d survive the night, but his incredible strength pulled him through, something they’re calling a true miracle.
After multiple surgeries, a long rehab ahead, and possibly needing an organ transplant, his life has changed forever. As someone who spent years working with his hands to fix homes and help others, Maurice now needs support. With construction work out of reach for several years, if not permanently, he faces a tough road.
Donations will help cover Maurice’s medical bills, rehab, and daily living costs while he’s unable to work. This is a chance for everyone to come together for a kind, funny, and hardworking man who’s always been there for others.

However, after several surgeries, anticipated long-term rehabilitation, and possibly an organ transplant, Maurice’s life will never be the same. As a man who has dedicated his life to working with his hands, repairing homes, restoring lives, and lifting others up, Maurice now needs our help. Construction and carpentry are demanding jobs, and Maurice won’t be able to return to his business for several years, if ever.
