This card featured several titles on the line, a red-hot audience who provided a strong atmosphere for every match on the night, new champions, surprises and much more. In many ways, Evolution 2025 was WWE’s best PLE card of the whole year, offering up a lot for fans to shout about.

Becky Lynch Escapes With The Intercontinental Championship

  • The Intercontinental Title kicked off the show
  • Becky Lynch defeated Bayley and Lyra Valkyria
  • Lynch vs. Valkyria at Backlash and Money in the Bank was still better

Evolution 2025 opened up with a great triple threat match involving rivals Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Lyra Valkyria. They managed to continue their animosity and intensity into the match in what was a fast-paced, enjoyable, and hot contest to kick off the show.

The in-ring work was smooth, well wrestled, and it also felt as though all three women were desperately trying to find a way to win, making the Intercontinental Title continue to be a sought-for prize. Although it wasn’t as strong as the two wars between Lynch and Valkyria at Backlash and Money in the Bank, it was still a very good matchup.

  • Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were super over with the crowd
  • NXT’s Zaria and Sol Ruca were impressive in the match
  • This was one of the most fun matches on the card

One of the more surprising highlights of the night came in the fatal four Women’s Tag Team Title match. Despite a rushed build, this match had plenty of heat and highlights, mostly due to the infectious babyface work of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, who had a whole lot of support from the WWE Universe. NXT’s Zaria and Sol Ruca also shone too with their impressive mixture of speed, strength, and agility.

The finish was a little underwhelming as Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez retained their gold, but the match leading up to it was nothing but positive.

Stephanie Vaquer has been on a wave of momentum ever since debuting on the WWE main roster, and this continued at Evolution 2025 when she emerged victorious in the number one contenders Battle Royal for a title shot at Clash In Paris. The match was plenty of fun, with the likes of Chelsea Green, Kelani Jordan, and Lash Legend all shining in the matchup.

Naomi Cashes In During Iyo Sky Vs. Rhea Ripley

  • Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley had a banger of a match
  • Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank contract
  • A new Women’s World Champion was crowned in a great main event

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky stole the show at Evolution 2025, having a fantastic main event for the Women’s World Championship. The first three quarters of the match were smooth, well-wrestled, and pretty simple, but things got wild when the referee was taken out, leading to a wild brawl in the crowd – and it was all absolutely red-hot!

When Ripley and Sky were each spent in the middle of the ring after a hard-fought contest, Naomi’s music hit. Shocking fans, she cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase, taking out both women before standing tall as the new Women’s World Champion. Her heel work has been fantastic in 2025, so to see her rewarded for all that hard work is great. Naomi has been on the chase for gold ever since her 2024 Royal Rumble return, and she has now stood tall in what was arguably WWE’s best premium live event of the year.
