Who Are The 2025 WWE Hall Of Fame Inductees?

Triple H Will Headline The Event

  • Shawn Michaels and Undertaker surprised Triple H with the announcement.
  • Lex Luger and Michelle McCool are long overdue for induction.
  • Earthquake and Typhoon will go in together as the Natural Disasters.

No one is more deserving of a Hall of Fame induction than Triple H. He was a 14-time world champion after all and the top heel of the Attitude Era. He wrestled for over two decades and would have been in the Hall years ago if not for his status in WWE. Being one of the top leaders of the company behind the scenes, from his success in leading NXT to now being in charge of the company’s creative direction, he wasn’t going to nominate himself, so instead Shawn Michael and the Undertaker surprised him with the news.

He’s not the only big name going into the 2025 class. Lex Luger was a legend in WWE and WCW, but his controversies away from the ring hindered his chances at induction. Now, the time has finally come, and with DDP working with him, don’t be surprised to see him walk to the podium.

Another inductee was one of the top women of the Ruthless Aggression Era, Michelle McCool. She’s not just the wife of the Undertaker but one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all-time, and she was so important during an era where women’s wrestling often didn’t get a big spotlight.

Lastly, the Natural Disasters will finally make their way into the Hall of Fame. Made up of Earthquake and Typhoon, the duo dominated the tag team division in the early 90s and were the focus of a Dark Side of the Ring episode.

WWE Will Also Induct A Classic Match Into The Hall Of Fame

Bret Hart Vs. Steven Austin At WrestleMania 13 Was A Passing Of The Torch

  • The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame will have the first ever “Immortal Moment”.
  • Bret Hart and Steve Austin did a double turn at WrestleMania 13.
  • Ken Shamrock was the guest referee of their match.

WWE will also be doing things a little differently this year, as the 2005 Hall of Fame will have the inaugural “Immortal Moment” induction. This goes to a classic match from wrestling history, and is a great way to not just honor individual talent but the magic wrestlers created in the ring together. The first Immortal Moment will go to Bret Hart vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin at WrestleMania 13.

Taking place in 1997, right as WWE was on the verge of the Attitude Era, the WrestleMania match saw Bret Hart as the babyface and Steve Austin as the heel, but fans were cheering “Stone Cold”, so at WrestleMania, WWE pulled off the rare effective double turn. Hart won the match, putting Austin in a sharpshooter, but this being “Stone Cold”, he didn’t quit. Instead, with blood streaming down his face, he refused to tap, resulting in him passing out. Afterward, with Hart refusing to let go of the hold, he was manhandled by special guest referee Ken Shamrock. This match was a passing of the torch moment. Steve Austin was a rocket ship, becoming the most over star in WWE history. It will be great to see the two together again to accept their award at the Hall of Fame.

During a recent autograph signing, Austin was asked what the Immortal Moment induction meant to him. He said:

“It means something to me because if it wasn’t for the fans, I wouldn’t be sitting here. So, the fact that match is relevant and it’s going into the 2025 Hall of Fame for matches and it’s the first match to be inducted, cool.” (h/t 411Mania)
