Things Nobody Wants To See From WWE In 2025

2025 is here, and with WWE embarking on a historic deal with Netflix, it is set to be a brand new era for the company. Fans are expecting to see several big things this year, and with The Rock back in the picture, stars like Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns on fire, John Cena’s retirement tour, and more, there is plenty to look forward to.

However, as ever with WWE, not everything is always perfect, and the last year has seen several big mistakes made by the company. When looking ahead to 2025, there are many things that WWE fans simply do not want to see, and here are some of them.

2025 is set to be a wild year for WWE, with the first three months already seeing a John Cena heel turn, a shock Jey Uso Royal Rumble win, another return from The Rock, and more. The rest of the year will likely promise a lot of strong content, but there are certain things that we really do not want to see. Based on how the first three months have developed, it makes sense to take a renewed look at some of the things that fans are wanting or not wanting to see within the company. This includes saving broken concepts, the booking Charlotte Flair, and the handling of new WWE signings.

Charlotte Flair Dominating The World Title Picture

Flair Needs To Be Used In A Better Capacity

• Charlotte Flair returned and instantly won the Royal Rumble
• Fans don’t want to see Flair winning world titles
• She should elevate the midcard and tag team divisions

Charlotte Flair being thrust immediately into the world title picture upon her return to WWE has left many fans frustrated. Although she shouldn’t be banned from the world title picture for good, it would have been nice for 2025 to see her work some non-title programs with upcoming stars, elevate the midcard titles by challenging for them, and perhaps even spend some time in the tag team division to further help the championships.

It would be best if Tiffany Stratton survives WrestleMania as world champion, getting a big win over Flair, leading to her working across the rest of the card.

Money In The Bank Being Wasted

Triple H Needs To Work On The Money In The Bank

• Recent runs with the briefcase have been poor
• Too many wrestlers have lost their cash-ins
• WWE needs to work on figuring out this concept

Triple H has done well bring back quality and importance to the likes of the Royal Rumble, King & Queen Of The Ring, midcard titles, Survivor Series, and more, but the Money In The Bank still needs work. 2025 cannot see the concept wasted again. Damian Priest and Tiffany Stratton might’ve had successful cash-ins, but their runs with the briefcase were so frustrating and made them look weak. Elsewhere, the likes of Drew McIntyre lost his attempted cash-in the very same night, wasted the concept for a whole year.

Importance needs to be added, the briefcases need to matter more, and the gimmick needs to start creating more new stars.

Lucha Brothers Getting Lost In Tag Team Division

WWE’s Tag Team Divisions Are Lacking

• The divisions are struggling across RAW & SmackDown
• Penta has been doing well as a solo guy
• Rey Fenix’s arrival cannot lead to a poor tag run

The Lucha Brothers are one of the best tag teams of the last decade, but WWE isn’t the place for tag teams to thrive. For instance, the Motor City Machine Guns already feel like any other team in WWE, and this cannot happen for the Lucha Brothers.

Penta has been doing well to carve out a successful run as a singles guy in WWE, but the arrival of his brother could hinder things if WWE puts them together. Instead, WWE should focus on building two new singles stars, or else give more importance to the tag team division with the pairing at the helm.

The End Of The Brand Split

WWE Might Have A Loose Split After Netflix Move

• WWE is better having two separate rosters
• There are too many titles to have just one brand
• WWE should not loosen the brand split despite Netflix wanting big stars

WWE recently announced a transfer window for RAW and SmackDown, opening up both shows to a softer brand split with wrestlers visiting both. With Netflix wanting all the top stars for Monday Night RAW, there is a high chance that the brand split lessens even further.

Fans do not want to see this, as WWE is at its best both RAW and SmackDown have separate, distinctive rosters and two shows that are must-watch every week. There are too many big names to have everyone on one show, and far too many titles for one large roster. Fans can hope that this ‘transfer window’ doesn’t become commonplace.

Rhea Ripley Vs. Liv Morgan

WWE Cannot Return To This Feud

• Ripley & Morgan feuded from April to January
• Their rivalry became tiresome
• Fans just wanted to see this storyline end

For most of 2024, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan have been feuding over the Women’s World Championship. It then stretched into the early months of 2025. Fans do not want to this storyline take any more time in 2025, and their meeting at RAW’s Netflix premiere needs to be their last.

It has been one of the most disapointing, repetitive, and poorly written stories under Triple H’s creative rule. It started off promising, but the feud ran its course many, many months ago.

The Crown Jewel Championships

This Was A Bad Concept Introduced In 2024

• WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows were gradually improving
• WWE took a step back with the Crown Jewel Championships
• No one wants to see WWE return to this failed concept

One of the worst cocndepts introduced in 2024 was the Crown Jewel Championships, which will supposedly see both men’s and women’s world champions battle each year at Crown Jewel to win Super Bowl style rings that mean pretty much nothing.

Just when WWE’s Saudi Arabia shows felt like part of canon and were palatable, WWE took many steps back. Sure, it would make WWE look a little silly if they were canceled so soon, but it is for the best as WWE can then focus instead on the ongoing storylines in the respective world title pictures.

Five Match Premium Live Events

Fans Aren’t Happy With The Super Short Cards

• WWE’s down time between matches is too long
• One or two more matches need to be added to WWE’s PLEs
• More wrestlers deserve a shot on WWE’s PLEs

It has been commonplace in 2024 for WWE’s PLEs to have either four or five matches per show. Given the long wait between matches, the extended entrances, the lack of match variation, and the amount of titles and big names who miss these big shows, this structure is something fans don’t want to see continue into 2025.

Even though WWE’s PLEs have a decent quality, seeing a lack of matches, wrestlers, and a painfully slow pacing makes it feel as though fans are not getting their money’s worth.

Solo Sikoa As World Champion

Sikoa’s Main Event Push Was A Failure In 2024

• WWE tried and failed to make Sikoa a main event heel
• He came close to winning the Undisputed WWE Title
• No one wants to see Sikoa win a top prize

Solo Sikoa challenged Cody Rhodes multiple times in 2024 for the Undisputed WWE Championship, playing the role of SmackDown’s number one heel for much of the year.

Fans didn’t buy into Sikoa as a main event bad guy, so seeing him as a world champion is not on many people’s tick list. In 2025, WWE should not push Sikoa hard into the world title limelight, as there are many other potential names who should be getting their hands on a top belt.

Generic Entrance Music

WWE Needs A Good Replacement For Def Rebel

• It was announced WWE are letting Def Rebel go
• WWE’s music need an overhaul
• Fans don’t want to keep hearing generic and indecipherable music

Every time a new entrance theme is released, it lacks character, feels generic, and fans struggle to even recognize who is coming out half of the time. Fans don’t want this to continue into 2025.

It is well known that WWE are parting ways with Def Rebel, but when their replacement comes in, something seriously needs to change. WWE cannot keep handing wrestlers terrible themes, as it does have a negative impact on the presentation of their stars.

Goldberg Beating Today’s Top Stars

Goldberg Is Returning For A Retirement Match

• WWE have teased Goldberg vs. Gunther
• Goldberg shouldn’t beat any current main eventer
• If he is booked to win, it should be against someone who won’t be damaged in defeat

It was reported in 2024 that Goldberg was returning to the ring in 2025 for one last match (at least). It is expected that Goldberg will do battle with Gunther, and no matter what, Goldberg cannot win that bout.

WWE have made many mistakes in the past of Goldberg going over guys like Kevin Owens and Bray Wyatt, and unless Goldberg is booked to destroy someone like Dominik Mysterio, then he should not be beating any of today’s top main event stars. Fans do want to see today’s wrestlers sacrificed for old timers.

Part-Time CM Punk

Punk Has Only Wrestled A Handful Of Times So Far

• CM Punk returned in 2023 and only competed five times
• WWE is protecting him after an injury
• Punk being part-time isn’t what fans wanted

CM Punk has only wrestled a few times since coming back to WWE, most of that due to injury. WWE have eased him back into action, with him undertaking a part-time schedule thus far.

Given Punk’s comments in the past about part-timers, and with him getting older and potentially not having too many years left to offer, fans do not want to see him wasted and not competing regularly in 2025.

Roman Reigns Becoming World Champion

It Is Still Too Soon For Reigns To Hold Gold

• He had a very lengthy run with the world title
• WWE should wait until 2026 to crown him again
• It would feel like same old, same old if WWE went back to Reigns

Roman Reigns spent over three years as world champion, with his reign stretching from 2020 to 2024. It may have been a little while since he held gold, but it is still not long enough for Reigns to become a titleholder yet again.

Fans are not ready for the potential of a lengthy Roman Reigns run with a world title, and WWE should wait until 2026 at the very least.

No More New Championships

WWE Introduced Multiple New Titles In 2024

• WWE split up the Undisputed Tag Team Championships
• Two new midcard titles were added to the women’s division
• WWE doesn’t need anymore titles

In 2024, several new titles emerged in WWE. The tag titles were split into the brand new WWE & World Tag Team Championships, and both a women’s US & IC Title were brought in too. On top of the rebooted King & Queen Of The Ring tournaments and the new Crown Jewel Championships, WWE do not need any more prizes on offer.

There are already too many championships spread across the RAW and SmackDown rosters, with the women’s division in particular struggling anyway, even without the two midcard titles.
