Tonight’s WWE SmackDown, airing March 7, 2025, promises an action-packed night live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The post-WWE Elimination Chamber show will see “The Viper” Randy Orton make an appearance. Plus, Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will address John Cena attacking him at Elimination Chamber.
The show kicks off at 8:00 PM ET on the USA Network and is available for international fans on streaming platforms like Netflix. WWE SmackDown Results (3/7/25): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Joe Tessitore welcoming us as we get shots of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We then see the arrivals of “The Mega Star” LA Knight, WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, “The Monster Of All Monsters” Braun Strowman, “The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Solo Sikoa and “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre to the arena.
We then see Drew McIntyre run into Damian Priest and McIntyre lays Priest out. McIntyre then says what did you think was gonna happen before sending Priest’s head into a production crate.
Wade Barrett then welcomes us to the show and we get a video package recapping this past Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber PLE, which ended with John Cena’s heel turn.
“The Viper” Randy Orton’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring.
Randy Orton soaks in the cheers from the fans before he stars to talk. Orton says a lot of crazy stuff has happened since he has been gone. Orton then mentions John Cena and the fans boo loudly. Orton then says Cena has always been on the top of their profession and now he is just a bottom for The Rock and that gives a whole new meaning to the term Rock Bottom. Orton then officially welcomes the fans to SmackDown and the fans cheer. Orton then brings up Kevin Owens and says they have both done vile things to get jobs done. Orton then says they always did what they did in the name of business. Orton then says he respects Kevin Owens The Wrestler and touts Owens’s journey to WWE. Orton then says it’s Kevin Owens The Man who he has a problem with. Orton then says never underestimate a jealous man’s ability to destroy another man and he thinks of Owens when he thinks of that cliche.
Orton then brings up how Owens tried to ruin Cody’s career because Owens was jealous about the gold around Cody’s waist. Orton then notes how Owens tried to drop Sami Zayn on his head at Elimination Chamber because Zayn had become a bigger star than Kevin Owens. Orton then says Owens was once his friend, but Owens dropped him with a piledriver because he was trying to protect his own friend. Orton then recalls how Owens main-evented WrestleMania not once, but twice and that includes his brawl with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Orton then explains how he was told his spinal fusion would be career-ending for him a year and a half ago. Orton then says he busted his ass to come back, but once he got back he wasn’t going to let anyone piss him off. Orton then says Kevin Owens pissed him off. Orton then talks about how he RKO’d Owens at Elimination Chamber, but that didn’t satisfy him because his voices started talking to him again for the first time in a decade. Orton then says he wanted to punt kick Owens so hard that his family wouldn’t recognize him. Orton then says he will prove that Pat McAfee is only the second-greatest punter in WWE and threw his microphone. Orton’s music hits and that was the end of the segment.
We then get video footage from earlier today of WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton and WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green in SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis’ office. Stratton tells Green to shut up and she turns her attention to Piper Niven, challenging Niven to a match. Green then says Niven couldn’t do that because of her match later. Aldis then makes the match official and Tiffany Stratton’s music hits as she makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night.
Piper Niven then makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night as she is being introduced by ring announcer Lilian Garcia.
Non-Title Match: WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton vs. Piper Niven
The match starts off with both women locking up. Niven then nails Stratton with a couple of shoulder blocks, but Stratton responds with a missile dropkick and handspring back elbow. Niven then sends Stratton out of the ring over the top rope, then hits a senton off the ring apron to land on her.
Both women then get back inside the ring and Niven wears Stratton down with a submission hold. Stratton then looks to take Niven down with a couple of clotheslines, but Niven stays standing. Stratton then hits a shoulder tackle on Niven before following it up with a handspring back elbow and a missile dropkick. Niven then delivers some shoulders on Stratton’s midsection in the corner, but Stratton sends her into the mat and climbs to the top. Stratton then hits a Swanton Bomb and pins Niven, but Niven kicks out. Niven. then sets up for a Vader Bomb on Stratton, but Stratton avoids it and hits Niven with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win.
The winner of the Non-Title Match, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton!
After the match, Charlotte Flair appears out of nowhere and hits a chop block on Stratton as the Women’s Champion celebrates her win. Flair then cinches in a Figure Eight Leg Lock on Stratton and officials make their way down to the ring to break the two women apart.
We then head to the back, where SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis makes a number of announcements on the SmackDown tag team division. It is announced that next week’s episode will see The Street Profits take on #DIY for the WWE Tag Team Titles, while Pretty Deadly, MCMG and Los Garza will compete in a Triple Threat Match tonight to determine who gets the next shot at the tag team titles after the Profits get their shot.
The Motor City Machine Guns then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Loz Garza and Pretty Deadly follow.
WWE Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match: Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince and Kit Wilson) vs. Los Garza (Angel and Berto)
The match starts off with Chris Sabin and Kit Wilson. Angel then tags himself in and Wilson dropkicks him out of the ring before both men nail each other with missile dropkicks. Alex Shelley and Berto then tag themselves in, leading to all three teams brawling with each other.
Angel then hits a chop on Shelley on the outside, but Elton Prince tags himself in. Wilson then tags back in and Pretty Deadly double teams on Shelley. Wilson then hits an uppercut on Shelley and Prince tags back in. Shelley then hits a flatliner-DDT combination on Wilson and Prince, then tags in Sabin. Sabin then hits a dropkick on Prince off the top rope, but Berto tags in. Sabin then hits a Frankensteiner on Berto off the top, then follows it up with a Tornado DDT off the ropes.
Prince then tags in and sends Berto crashing into the mat with a hair whip, then nails Sabin. Shelley then holds the middle rope open for Sabin to hit a tope suicida on Pretty Deadly and Los Garza on the outside. Motor City Machine Guns then set up for Skull and Bones on Prince, but Wilson pushes Shelley off the top rope opening the door for Prince to roll up Sabin for the win.

We then get a video package highlighting Jade Cargill’s attack on Naomi at the Elimination Chamber PLE, while a split screen shot shows Bianca Belair’s horrified reaction. Joe Tessitore says Belair will speak next.
Members of the Philadelphia 76ers are then shown in the front row.
Women’s Elimination Chamber Match winner “The EST Of WWE” Bianca Belair then makes her way down to the ring. Belair stands in the ring in silence for a few seconds. Belair starts off by saying she should feel like she’s on top of the world, but instead it’s hard to do that when two of your friends are fighting. Belair then talks about how close she became with Naomi after they formed their tag team. Belair then says she doesn’t believe that Naomi would attack Jade Cargill. Belair then says she needed answers and asked Naomi to come out and give her some answers. Naomi’s music then hits and she makes her way down to the ring in a neck brace.
The crowd starts to boo and Belair asks Naomi what in the hell is going on. Naomi says it’s not what it looks like. Naomi then asks Belair who stepped up when Cargill couldn’t compete. Belair then tells Naomi to stop and asks Naomi if she attacked Cargill. Naomi then says all the outside noise is distraction and they need to focus on getting their tag team titles back and Belair getting to WrestleMania. Belair then tells Naomi to stop talking about everything else and to talk about Jade.
Naomi then repeats Cargill’s name and says the truth is the way she sees Cargill, Cargill has been piggybacking off of Belair all this time. Naomi then says she had been forced to watch someone like Cargill succeed off of Belair’s hard work. Naomi then says she let Belair and Cargill get their flowers. Naomi then gets emotional and says she doesn’t give a damn about Cargill because Cargill doesn’t give a damn about Belair. Both women then talked over each other and starts shouting at each other until Belair grabs Naomi and tells her to stop.
Belair then says is it a yes or no. Naomi then cries and says she did it. The news then draws a huge pop from the live crowd. Naomi then says she did it for Belair. Belair then cries and yells at Naomi to not touch her. Belair then says it hurt so bad because she loves Naomi. Belair then says things between her and Naomi are done and walks out of the ring. Naomi then continues to cry and begs Belair not to walk away. Naomi then shouts at Belair that she wishes she would have pushed Cargill harder and sooner. Naomi then yells at the crowd that everyone turned on her. Naomi then calls Belair an ungrateful b***h.
Belair then turns around and a car pulls up on the big screen. Jade Cargill then steps out of it and the camera follows her as she makes her way out. Cargill then stands beside Belair before making her way down to the ring. Cargill then hops on the apron and chases Naomi out of the ring. Cargill then grabs Naomi and sends her into the announce desk. Cargill then sends Naomi into a ring post. Cargill then hits her Jaded finisher on Naomi and stands tall to end the segment.
Commentary then recaps Damian Priest eliminating Drew McIntyre from the Elimination Chamber, which led to McIntyre attacking Priest and leaving him to be eliminated by Logan Paul. They also showed the earlier footage of McIntyre attacking Priest backstage. Drew McIntyre is then shown walking backstage and he runs into Byron Saxton. Saxton says McIntyre’s attack on Priest earlier in the show was unprovoked. McIntyre then notes how Priest stole a pin from him at the Elimination Chamber. McIntyre then says because of Priest he has nothing to give but violence on the way to WrestleMania. McIntyre then says it will start tonight with the black sheep of the family.
Braun Strowman then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and we get video footage of Cody Rhodes telling Lex Luger that he will be inducted into the 2025 WWE Hall Of Fame class.
We then head to the back, where Byron Saxton is interviewing Charlotte Flair. Flair says the women’s division has gone soft and every time she comes back, she has to remind people that there are levels to what they do. B-Fab then shows up and Flair says no one compares to her. B-Fab then says nobody is interested in bowing down to Flair anymore. Flair then says everyone eventually bows down to the queen. Flair then challenges B-Fab to a match next week in Spain.
Solo Sikoa then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
Singles Match: “The Monster Of All Monsters” Braun Strowman vs. Solo Sikoa
The match starts off with both men locking up. Sikoa then looks to nail Strowman with a couple of shoulder tackles, but Strowman stays on his feet and runs over Sikoa with a shoulder tackle of his own. Strowman then clotheslines Sikoa over the top and out of the ring, but Sikoa sends Strowman crashing into the ring steps and follows it up with a Hip Attack that sends Strowman crashing into one of the barricades.
Sikoa then wears Strowman down with a submission hold back inside the ring, then nails him with a boot. Strowman then powers up to his feet and delivers a few right hands on Sikoa’s midsection, but Sikoa gets Strowman up on his shoulders and nails him with a Samoan Drop. Sikoa then hits with a Hip Attack on Strowman in the corner, but Strowman nails Sikoa with a shoulder tackle on the outside and sends him back in the ring. Sikoa then hits a splash on Strowman in the corner, but Strowman sends Sikoa crashing into the top turnbuckle shoulder first and hits him with an over the shoulder powerslam. Strowman then goes for a pin, but Tama Tonga breaks the pinfall to cause the disqualification.

After the match, Tonga looks to continue beating Strowman down, but Strowman overpowers him and sends him crashing over the barricade near the timekeeper’s area. Jacob Fatu’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring, staring Strowman down. Both men then begin to brawl and Fatu sends Strowman crashing out of the ring with a kick and looks to follow it up with a tope suicida. Strowman then sees Fatu coming and sends him crashing over the announce desk, but Fatu quickly recovers and nails Strowman with a forearm off the announce desk. Fatu then continues beating Strowman down in the crowd, but Strowman chokeslams Fatu off a road case and through a table. Fatu just simply gets up and stumbles his way to the back.
We then head to the back, where Byron Saxton is interviewing LA Knight. Knight talks about Jacob Fatu going through the table and says there will be no distractions for his match later with Shinsuke Nakamura. Knight then calls Philly the birthplace of the United States and says they are standing in the place that will be the rebirth of his U.S. Title reign. Knight then says everyone will pledge allegiance to the United States Champion with everybody saying L.A. Knight Yeah.
We then see Chelsea Green talking to Piper Niven backstage until Zelina Vega shows up. Vega says she will challenge whomever wins the Women’s U.S. Title. Green then grabs Niven by the tie and drags her through the backstage area. Green then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
Michin then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night.
WWE Women’s United States Championship Street Fight: Chelsea Green (c) vs. Michin
The match starts off with both women brawling. Green then sends Michin crashing into the ring apron face first, but Michin sends Green crashing into one of the barricades. Green then hits a boot that sends Michin crashing off the apron, but Michin grabs a metal sheet tray from her garbage can and hits Green with it. Michin then sends two kendo sticks, a car jack, a chair, two chains and a garbage can into the ring.
Green then hits Michin in the midsection with a chair, but Michin sends Green crashing into the chair face first and hits her with a back body drop. Michin then bites Green’s fingers, then grabs a table from under the ring. Green then hits a kick on Michin on the outside and sends several chairs and a couple of kendo sticks in the ring, then ties Michin’s hands up with a rope and uses it to toss her across the ring twice and whips her with the rope on the outside. Green then uses the rope to send Michin crashing into one of the barricades and the ring apron spine first, then locks in a version of a crossface on her with it.
Green then looks to send Michin crashing into the ring post using the ropes, but Michin stops her momentum and sends Green crashing into it instead. Michin then sprays a fire extinguisher in Green’s face, then pulls out a table from under the ring. Niven then nails Michin with a right hand to stop her, then sends her face bouncing off the announce desk and sends her into the ring. Green then grabs the garbage can and sets it up as Niven holds it and Michin in place, then hits a Coast To Coast on Michin and goes for a pin but Michin kicks out.
B-Fab then makes her way down to the ring and grabs a kendo stick, then repeatedly hits Niven with it as she chases her away through the crowd. As Green screams at Niven to come back, Michin grabs a kendo stick and repeatedly hits Green with it. Michin then dropkicks Green into the corner and sets the garbage can on top of her, then hit a cannonball on her and goes for a pin but Green kicks out.
Michin then gets a table into the ring and looks to set it up. Green then sends Michin crashing into it face first and sets it up in the corner, then gets Michin up on her shoulders. Michin then hits the Eat Defeat on Green that sends her on top of the table, then delivers a senton on Green through the table off the top rope. Michin then goes for a pin, but Alba Fyre pulls Green out of the ring to break the fall and hits a kick on Michin’s head. She then hits a Canadian Destroyer on Michin, then sends Green back into the ring. Green then pins Michin for the win.
The winner of the Street Fight and still the WWE Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green!
After the match, Fyre presents Green with her Women United States Championship and salutes Green.
We then head to the back, where Santos Escobar is shown yelling at Los Garza. Escobar says things have to start changing for Legado Del Fantasma. Escobar then says he won’t expect it because this time he demands it. Escobar then walks away. Angel then says Escobar has a point and makes his exit. Andrade then shows up and speaks to Berto alone. Andrade then tells Berto that he knows him and he deserves better.
We then get video footage from Elimination Chamber of Cody Rhodes telling The Rock to go f*** himself and then Rhodes gets attacked by John Cena. Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes’ music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Rhodes’ music stops and the fans chant his name loudly. Rhodes then looks around, takes his time and the fans start a “Cena sucks” chant. Rhodes then asks Philadelphia what they wanted to talk about. Rhodes then says it is obvious because what happened on Saturday was the most-watched moment in WWE history. Rhodes then talks about how his daughter asked him what happened to his face. Rhodes then says he lied to his daughter and told her that he ran into a wall.
Rhodes then says it wasn’t entirely untrue, because he ran into a wall designed by the Final Boss, his associate, Travis Scott and of course, John Cena. The crowd then boos loudly. Rhodes then says he drove Cena around for two years, trying to get all the knowledge he could. Rhodes then says he thought Cena was a hero. Rhodes then says one day he will tell his daughter what actually happened: a great man who did great things and said he will never give up gave up. Rhodes then apologizes for the language he used on Saturday. Rhodes then says if Cena doesn’t owe it to him, then he owes it to his fans to know why he did what he did.
Rhodes then says Cena will have a well-crafted retort and Cena will feel bullet-proof and justified, but there is no justification for Cena. Rhodes then says he is aware he was talking to the whole world, but for those in the room in Philadelphia he wanted to remind everyone that Philly was the one place Dusty was always afraid to perform in. Rhodes then references how he finished his story last year at WrestleMania. Loud “Cody” chants then break out. Rhodes then says speaking of WrestleMania 40 you could see Cena celebrate with him in the ring after his match. Rhodes then notes how Cena told him that it gets heavier every day while referencing his title. Rhodes then says he is holding his championship and it’s not heavy enough. Rhodes then says he’s been holding his championship for 300 plus days. Rhodes then says Cena is convinced he is the last of his kind, but he is not and at WrestleMania he tells Cena to come and get some and Rhodes throws the mic down. Rhodes’ music then hits to end the segment.
We then head to the back, where The Miz is talking to Carmelo Hayes and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is around. Miz pitches “Melo Don’t Miz TV.” Hayes then says if The Final Boss came to him, he would have done what Cena did and references Fortnite. Randy Orton then shows up and also talks about Fortnite. Aldis then says it looks like Orton is itching to get back into the ring and Aldis makes the match for next week official between Carmelo Hayes and Randy Orton. Orton then says he loves the idea, then tells Hayes he is at the one-yard line and he better not fumble.
We then get the entrances of the night match of the night and Jimmy Uso goes right after Drew McIntyre.
Singles Match: “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre vs. Jimmy Uso
The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going back and forth. Jimmy Uso then sends Drew McIntyre out of the ring and looks to hit him with a tope suicida, but McIntyre nails him with a right hand and sends his face bouncing off the announce desk. He then follows it up with a superkick.
Jimmy then hits a Samoan Drop on McIntyre and goes for a pin. McIntyre then kicks out and both men men teeter on the ropes. McIntyre then looks to hit a superplex on Jimmy, but Jimmy sends McIntyre crashing onto the mat and nails him with a superkick. Jimmy then goes for another pin, but McIntyre kicks out once again. Jimmy then climbs up the ropes and looks to hit an Uso Splash, but McIntyre moves out of the way and nails Jimmy with a Claymore Kick for the win.
The winner of the Singles Match, “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre!
After the match, McIntyre heads to the back but decides against it. Damian Priest then blindsides McIntyre from behind and delivers some right hands on him until officials appear to pull Priest off McIntyre. Priest then says he will kill McIntyre and he will be coming after McIntyre every week. McIntyre then gets up and Priest puts him down again.
We then get a Shinsuke Nakamura video promo. Nakamura speaks in Japanese, while English subtitles are shown. Nakamura says he knew Knight would stubbornly make one final attempt at his championship. Nakamura then says there was no better location for the death of Knight’s dreams than the birthplace of the United States. Nakamura then says Knight will beg for mercy and will find none.
We then get a video vignette on The Street Profits. We then head to the back, where #DIY are bring interviewed by Byron Saxton. Gargano says the tag team division is on fire and there is a lot of great teams, but the best team in the world is #DIY. Ciampa then says all the teams want what they have. Ciampa then talks about The Street Profits’ new attitude and Gargano chimes in saying hope is a dangerous thing and The Profits have hope, but their dream is already dead. Ciampa then does his Moment Of Silence bit, this time for The Street Profits’ dream of becoming tag team champions.
It is then announced that next week’s episode of SmackDown in Barcelona will see #DIY defend their WWE Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits. We will also see Charlotte Flair vs. B-Fab in a Singles Match, Carmelo Hayes vs. Randy Orton in a Singles Match and MizTV featuring Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes.
LA Knight then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Shinsuke Nakamura follows.
WWE United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. “The Mega Star” LA Knight
The match starts off with both men wasting no time in going after each other and locking up. Knight then delivers some right hands on Nakamura. Nakamura then nails Knight, but Knight delivers more right hands on him. Nakamura then hits a knee on Knight as he is draped off the ring apron, then sends him crashing into the mat off the middle rope. Knight then flies off the middle turnbuckle to send Nakamura crashing into the mat face first, then hits a dropkick through the middle rope to land on him on the outside.
Knight then hits Nakamura with a clothesline off the barricade, then sends him back in the ring and climbs to the middle rope. Nakamura then trips Knight and drapes him across the top turnbuckle, then hits a knee on his midsection and sends his face bouncing off the ring apron. Nakamura then hits a roundhouse kick on Knight’s head, but Knight repeatedly sends Nakamura’s head bouncing off the announce desk and sends him crashing into it face first. Nakamura then sends Knight into the ring steps.
Knight and Nakamura then return to the ring and Nakamura hits a knee on Knight’s head. Nakamura then hits another knee on Knight’s midsection both men exchange forearms with one another before Knight nails Nakamura with a clothesline and a neckbreaker. Knight then follows it up with a powerslam and an elbow drop, then goes for a pin but Nakamura kicks out. Nakamura then delivers some elbows on the side of Knight’s neck as both men teeter on the ropes, then hits him with a back suplex and goes for a pin but Knight kicks out.
Knight then hits Nakamura with a clothesline, but Nakamura responds with a kick on Knight’s head and climbs up the ropes. Knight then joins him up there and hits a superplex, then hits an elbow drop off the top rope and looks to follow it up with a BFT. Nakamura then avoids it by sliding out of the ring, then looks to hit Knight with a chair. Knight then grabs the chair from Nakamura and considers using it, but the referee talks him out of it. Nakamura then nails Knight with a back fist and grabs the chair. Nakamura then looks to use it on Knight, but the referee takes it from him. Nakamura then looks to spit red mist into Knight’s face, but accidentally spits it in the referee’s face. Knight then rolls up Nakamura, but the referee misses it. Nakamura then takes advantage, hitting a roundhouse kick on Knight and following it up with a Scissor Kick. Nakamura then grabs the chair once again, but Knight wrestles it away from Nakamura and sends him crashing on top of it with the BFT. A second referee then makes his way down to the ring and counts the fall for the win.

After the match, pyro goes off as Knight poses on the second rope with his United States Championship and the show comes to a close.
