What Has Brock Lesnar Been Doing Since Leaving WWE

Brock Lesnar, The Beast Incarnate, has been missing from WWE since his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. What has Lesnar been up to? Now, it is not as if Lesnar was a weekly staple on WWE television, and fans are missing him. Since his return in the 2010s, Lesnar has mainly been used as a renowned part-time star attraction in WWE. He would disappear for months at a time, only to come back around for the big shows like WrestleMania.

  • Lesnar evened the score at Night of Champions.
  • The final match in their trilogy ended with Rhodes’ victory at SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar’s final match took place at SummerSlam 2023, where he faced Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare won the match, and afterward, Lesnar even raised his hand to pass the torch. Wrestling Observer Radio reported that Lesnar wasn’t taking a big hiatus from WWE and could return at Fastlane, but that didn’t happen.

Rumors of his return emerged again around the Royal Rumble in 2024, but just a few days before the show, Grant filed a sex trafficking lawsuit, and the company replaced Lesnar in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match with Bron Breakker. There was a report that WWE was going to book Lesnar vs. Gunther for WrestleMania 40, but that never happened.

Brock Lesnar Is Still Mentioned On WWE TV

  • WWE removed Brock Lesnar from TV intros.
  • Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins have brought up Lesnar’s name in promos.
  • Paul Heyman talked about Brock during his Hall of Fame induction speech.

Although Brock Lesnar wasn’t directly mentioned in the suit, he was referred to as ā€œa world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion.ā€ Due to the nature of the allegations made by Grant, it was understandable that WWE would maintain its distance from anyone involved in the lawsuit, including Lesnar. While WWE removed Lesnar from their 2K24 game and cover, as well as from their intro, it doesn’t seem that the doors to his return have closed forever, considering he’s been mentioned both directly and indirectly on WWE programming by stars like Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

Brock Lesnar’s former on-screen manager and real-life close friend, Paul Heyman, also name-dropped him during his Hall of Fame speech in 2024, but he didn’t get in trouble for that, and the WWE was okay with it. Even Triple H commented on Lesnar’s status at the post-show press conference of WrestleMania 40 and said he ā€œis not gone from WWE.ā€

ā€œAt one point there was a conversation with Brock about Royal Rumble quite a long time ago. Right now Brock is home being Brock, and we’ll see where that leads to from here. The status is the same as it’s been before. Brock is not gone from WWE, he’s just home being Brock.ā€ (H/T CageSideSeats)

Brock Lesnar Has Made Several Public Appearances Since Leaving WWE

Brock Lesnar Usually Lives A Very Private Life

  • Lesnar went to a concert with his wife, former WWE star Sable.
  • He was spotted at a rodeo and comedy show.
  • Brock Lesnar isn’t on WWE TV or doing interviews.

It’s no surprise that Lesnar is a very private individual. He likes to stay away from the limelight, but he’s still a celebrity, so whenever he’s out having fun, there’s almost always a fan who recognizes him. Lesnar doesn’t always say no to pictures, and then these images turn into news headlines.

For instance, in late 2024, Lesnar attended a Michelle Wright concert along with his wife, Sable. Then, in early 2025, he attended a rodeo event, and a few weeks later, in April, he was spotted at an Adam Ray comedy show. He even posed for a picture with the performer. Even more recently, he posed with Jake Nodar of Naked and Afraid XL. Brock Lesnar isn’t on WWE or out there doing interviews, but the Janel Grant lawsuit hasn’t stopped him from appearing in public either.
