From the moment the Four Horsewomen debuted in WWE, they have dominated the landscape of women’s wrestling within the company. Comprised of Sasha Banks (now known as Mercedes Mone in AEW), Charlotte Flair, Bayley, and Becky Lynch, they have been involved in the majority of WWE’s top female storylines, from NXT to the main roster on Raw and SmackDown.

These 4 WWE NXT Stars Should Be The Next Four Horsewomen
The WWE NXT women’s roster is one of the best in the world. These are the four women who should make up the next Four Horsewomen.
Between the four of them, they have won 36 singles titles in WWE and have been part of countless first-ever moments for the division. From headlining WrestleMania for the first time to competing in the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell or making up the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Champions, they have done it all. However, a period of change is taking place right now in WWE, and their time atop the division is coming to an end.
The Four Horsewomen’s Absence Hasn’t Hurt WWE
WWE’s Women’s Division Has Grown Stronger
- Sasha Banks quitting WWE has made no impact.
- The women’s roster still gets featured without the Four Horsewomen.
- Other wrestlers get the chance to develop even further in their absence.
From the moment WWE’s Four Horsewomen joined the main roster, it felt impossible for them not to be part of the shows. The idea of them being off television for a long time seemed like something that would destroy the division, but that’s no longer the case for the company.
Sasha Banks no longer works for the company at all, having quit WWE to join AEW, where she is now the TBS Champion. While she’s a fantastic talent as Mercedes Mone, her departure from WWE hasn’t impacted the division in any way, as the roster doesn’t feel any weaker because she’s not around.

Every Look Of Mercedes Mone’s Wrestling Career, Ranked Worst To Best
AEW’s Mercedes Mone was formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, and she had several different looks throughout her wrestling career.
Throughout the past year, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have been off television for different reasons, meaning that until recently Bayley was the only active member of the group. While she is still featured prominently, the absence of three members of this elite group didn’t harm the women’s division. In fact, WWE’s women’s roster had one of its strongest years to date without the Four Horsewomen dominating the title scene.
WWE Has Other Stars Who Have Eclipsed The Four Horsewomen
WWE Has Lots Of Huge Stars In The Women’s Division
- Many other stars get just as big of a reaction as the Four Horsewomen.
- Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and Iyo Sky put on a classic at WrestleMania.
- Bayley wasn’t even on the WrestleMania 41 card.
When the Four Horsewomen were first introduced to the main roster, it felt like they were on another level with a lot of talent in terms of in-ring ability and character work. That was because they got the time to develop all of that in NXT, but there is a roster full of wrestlers who have been given similar opportunities and arguably done more with them.
Asuka helped to kickstart the change, but now there’s a full-blown revolution of women who are overtaking the Four Horsewomen in terms of popularity and talent. Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and Iyo Sky just got the first five-star women’s match in WWE history from Dave Meltzer after their WrestleMania 41 classic, and they are examples of wrestlers who are now arguably bigger than the Four Horsewomen.
WWE has built Liv Morgan’s character to the point where she can interact with the men’s division and be a bigger star than many of them. The likes of Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez are now starting to rise to that point as well, giving WWE even more options, to the point where Bayley could be left off the WrestleMania 41 card.
Triple H Is Providing Opportunities For All Women
This Has Grown The Division Beyond The Four Horsewomen
- Triple H created mid-card titles.
- He cares about the women’s division more than Vince McMahon did.
- Triple H doesn’t just rely on the Four Horsewomen anymore.
Triple H was the man who helped the Four Horsewomen become the stars they are today due to the opportunities he provided them. However, he’s also responsible for all of that changing, as he’s constantly pushing the women’s division, and many of those opportunities are going to other women.
He’s helped make Ripley one of the biggest stars in the business and introduced mid-card titles for the women’s division in a bid to grow other stars to the same level. It’s clear that he cares about the division in a manner that Vince McMahon didn’t, which means that he won’t have to rely on the same wrestlers all the time.

Bayley: Why She’s The Most Under-Appreciated Of The Four Horsewomen
WWE’s Four Horsewomen changed women’s wrestling, but Bayley hasn’t gotten the same recognition as Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks.
It has made the shows more enjoyable from a viewing experience, as audiences are able to see multiple storylines and various personalities throughout the night. The overexposure of the Four Horsewomen isn’t needed anymore, and that’s helping the entire company, giving fans more stars to care about and that they want to see on a weekly basis.
