This, alongside the tightening of the roster, has meant that even on the undercard, ‘Mania matches have been a lot more rewarding to watch with proper storyline investment going into it.

10 Wrestlers Who Didn’t Belong In Multi-Man World Title Matches

WWE has put on plenty of multi-man matches for World Titles throughout history. Some contenders had no business being in such important bouts.

Gone are the days of the multi-man ladder matches or the Andre the Giant Battle Royal giving the less-notable stars a payday, even though the latter still exists on the pre-WrestleMania SmackDown every year. This could be about to change this year though, as it would seem WWE is preparing Bron Breakker for a multi-person defense of his Intercontinental Championship.

  • There have been several wrestlers who have gotten involved with Bron Breakker in recent weeks.
  • It would appear that WWE may be setting up a multi-man match for the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 41.
  • It is good that Breakker has so many potential opponents, but a multi-man match would be a mistake.

As the midcard champion on Raw, it is not all that surprising that wrestlers would be lining up to face Bron Breakker at WrestleMania 41. However, many performers are orbiting the Intercontinental title picture just now, with there being no sign of who will be the one to face Breaker at ‘The Show of Shows.’

10 Things You Should Know About Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker is a rising star moving up the ladder in WWE. What should fans know about him?

The likes of Finn Balor, Penta, Dominik Mysterio, and AJ Styles have all tangled with Bron in one way or another in recent weeks, which would suggest that the champion has no clear feud heading into WrestleMania. This does not even include the likes of Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser, who have previously fought Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental title and may want another shot at it.

Some would argue that having a wealth of challengers is not such a bad thing for Breakker at this time of year, which is true so long as the field begins to narrow down in the coming weeks. No matter who WWE decides to position opposite Bron at WrestleMania 41, it should only be one or two people at an absolute maximum.

There Are Plenty Of Options For WrestleMania 41

Penta, Bron Breakker, and Goldberg in WWE

  • There are plenty of obvious and some outside choices to face Bron Breakker at WrestleMania.
  • Judgment Day, AJ Styles, Penta, and Chad Gable could all be likely candidates for the spot.
  • Sheamus and Goldberg each have the best storyline reason to go after Bron and the Intercontinental Championship.

Bron Breakker has seemingly dealt with most of the midcard talent on Raw over the past year, which does make choosing an opponent for WrestleMania rather difficult. He most recently got into it with Judgment Day members Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, which could be setting up a Triple-Threat match for the belt at WrestleMania.

10 Best Triple Threat Matches In WWE History, Reviewed

Throughout WWE history, there have been some standout triple threat matches which have enthralled fans, created memories, and made stars.

There are also stars such as AJ Styles and Penta who have recently debuted or moved back to Raw in recent months, positioning themselves as potential Intercontinental title challengers. The latter may now be readying himself for the arrival of his brother Rey Fenix, as Penta has been dealing with the pair of Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne.

Chad Gable has been someone who has consistently involved himself in the IC title picture but has yet to win the belt despite turning heel in his attempts to do so last year. There is also Sheamus’ long pursuit of the one accolade he has yet to obtain in WWE, which may be a good match for WWE to circle back around to at WrestleMania. There is also one complete bolt from the blue option in that Bron Breakker could defend his Intercontinental Championship against Goldberg at WrestleMania if WWE wanted to go all out for the big show. Goldberg has hinted that his final match is coming in 2025, and going out on ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ against his successor in many ways would be a befitting end to his career.

WWE Should Not Compromise With Bron Breakker

Bron Breakker Deserves A Singles Match At WrestleMania

Bron Breakker Intercontinental Champion Survivor Series 2024

  • WWE must not compromise on Bron Breakker’s title defense at WrestleMania by promoting a multi-man match.
  • Breakker deserves to have a featured spot on what will be his first WrestleMania event.
  • Bron Breakker could even retain the title at WrestleMania, allowing him to face all of his potential opponents after.

It is ultimately a good thing that WWE has such a selection headache in trying to choose who will be Bron Breakker’s opponent at WrestleMania, but having a match with over three competitors would be a compromise. Multi-man matches have been fun in the past at the event, but they were often emblematic of weak creative during a time when the company struggled to make stars of any description.

If nothing else, Bron Breakker surely deserves a featured match on the WrestleMania 41 card for his continued development in the role of Intercontinental Champion. This will be his first WrestleMania, and it would be a terrific signal of intent if he were to have a meaningful singles or Triple-Threat match at ‘The Showcase of the Immortals.’ There will be plenty of scope for the rest of Raw’s midcard to get on the card for WrestleMania 41, as there are already some feuds which have developed to the level expected on the big stage. Breakker could easily retain the title at the event as well, which will allow him to face a number of new opponents after WrestleMania.
