Pat McAfee Says GUNTHER Match Could Be a “Murder” and Might Be in Jail by Monday

Pat McAfee is scheduled to face GUNTHER at the Backlash Premium Live Event, and it’s clear he’s at a big disadvantage. That being said, McAfee has now stated that the match might turn into a “murder” and that he could end up in jail by Monday.

While speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee said he’s getting ready for his big fight against the Ring General hopes he can still do his Monday show afterwards. He said the match might be a murder and he could wind up in jail by Monday.

“I’m gonna have a big fight at WWE Backlash. Hopefully I’m available for this show on Monday. The most violent champion. I might be in jail for murder.”

McAfee also said he’s been watching a lot of GUNTHER’s matches lately and realized his own voice is in many of them because he’s called a lot of his matches in the past. McAfee has followed GUNTHER since he wrestled as WALTER and said he knows how tough he is. Even then, he’s ready to face him and is doing it for Michael Cole.

McAfee explained he couldn’t just sit back and watch someone hurt Cole without helping. The former punter said if he calls himself a friend, he has to step in. He wouldn’t be able to live with himself if he let that happen. He made it clear he’ll never be the kind of person who watches something bad happen and does nothing.

“I realized, I started watching, you know, film on GUNTHER. I realized, man, my voice is on a lot of it. I’ve watched a lot of GUNTHER, you know, I’ve watched a lot way back. Yeah. From all the way back whenever he was WALTER in Ringkampf. I’ve seen a lot of GUNTHER. I’ll tell you what, he is a tough Austrian asshole. But you know what? Come get some. Got to do what I got to do for Michael Cole.”

I just can’t be the person that just sits there and then says like, you know, I’m friends with Michael Cole and then watch his ass get snatched, you know, and then sit there and do nothing. What am I going to do? Sit there and do nothing? Then I got to live with that for the rest of my life. Oh, I just watched Michael Cole get punked out in front of everybody. Never going to do that. Never going to be that. Can’t be that person. Can’t be known as that person.”

While GUNTHER clearly doesn’t take Pat McAfee seriously as an opponent, McAfee is more than determined to show the Ring General he isn’t someone to be taken lightly. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see if McAfee has what it takes to beat GUNTHER once and for all.
