5 Best John Cena Action Figures Of All Time (& 5 Worst)
John Cena is one of the most marketed WWE wrestlers ever, and Action Figures are fan favorites. Here are the best (& worst) John Cena Action Figures.
CM Punk has had many different action figures made by different manufacturers, such as Jakks Pacific, Mattel, and Jazwares, with so many different looks. But which figures of the Second City Saint are the best, and which figures of CM Punk miss the mark completely.

Supporting The Straight Edge Lifestyle

Mattel |
2024 |
CM Punk has had many looks encapsulated in the form of an action figure, but none have the uniqueness quite like this one. At Extreme Rules 2010, CM Punk put his hair on the line against Rey Mysterio’s mask in a losing effort, meaning he would shave his head.
Punk would then come out in a black mask to hide his shaved look, until his mask was ripped off by The Big Show to expose his new look. This figure captures his look from 2010 very well, accompanied by a sling that he wore at the time and some extra interchangeable hands.
5th Worst: Elite Collection Best Of Pay-Per-View: 2013 CM Punk (Toys R Us Exclusive)
A Questionable Face Scan

Mattel |
2013 |
On April 7th, 2013, CM Punk got the opportunity to break the streak against
The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29
where Mattel took inspiration for this figure. The attire itself is fantastic, a tribute to The Undertaker’s older attire colors, but where this figure faults is from the neck up.
The face scan barely looks like CM Punk and more along the lines of the late great comedian Gilber Gottfried. If Mattel could’ve included a better head scan, like ones in Elite Series 16, then this figure could have been an all-time great, but the head scan ultimately makes it one of the worst.

Jazwares |
2022 |
21st August 2021 is a date forever etched in the record books for professional wrestling as the night CM Punk returned to the business. After leaving WWE in 2014, Punk stayed away doing movie projects, collaborating on comic books, and even having
two unsuccessful fights in the UFC
. CM Punk’s return was monumental and was a serious risk of turning a lot of WWE fans away to start watching AEW programming.

Jazwares hit the mark on this figure, capturing his return attire and even including the fun Ice Cream Bar accessory. With the customized packaging and this historical moment, this figure was a must-have for any CM Punk fan.
4th Worst: FlexForce Back Flippin’ Series 1
This Series Didn’t Last Too Long…
Manufacturer |
Date Released |
---|---|
Mattel |
2010 |
Mattel is known to make some amazing action figures in their time with WWE, but when they first took over, their technology may not have been the greatest as some face scans looked off, and figure detail was maybe not as good as Jakks Pacific. The cosmetics weren’t the only issue for Mattel, as their ideas for new action figures at the beginning were not all too great.
Whilst they had hits with the Basic and Elite lines, Flexforce was short-lived due to popularity and low demand. This figure just looks bad and no collector is going to want this in their collection due to how it is presented and is more for a child to play with. The legs on this figure look truly awful, and the face scan is also not up to scratch. It’s a good job Mattel scrapped Flexforce after a few years and focused on the development of their better lines.
3rd Best: Ringside Exclusive Defining Moments
The Pipe Bomb
2011 was CM Punk’s year, showcasing his main event talent against
Randy Orton at WrestleMania 27
, The Summer of Punk and the infamous Pipe Bomb. Punk’s contract was expiring, and he was heading into Money in the Bank 2011 against
John Cena for the WWE Championship
. CM Punk sat on the stage on the June 27th 2011 edition of RAW, as Cena lay in the ring as he proceeded to tear into WWE, Vince McMahon, The Rock and the rest of WWE management.
This moment sent shockwaves through professional wrestling and even brought back some lapsed fans who had stopped watching. Mattel captures this moment excellently, including the Stone Cold t-shirt he wore at the time, his signature yellow attire, and the microphone that he cut the pipe bomb with. Bravo, Mattel.
3rd Worst: AEW Unmatched LJN Style
Not Capturing The True LJN Style
LJN’s line working with the WWE was extremely popular in the latter half of the 80’s, with collectors still looking to purchase these childhood memories mint on card. Some of them can be seen being sold anywhere from $200 to over $500. One key part that made this figure line work was the wrestlers striking a cool pose for the figures to be played with or be displayed for collectors.

WWE (then WWF) once collaborated with LJN with a line of highly successful action figures.
Jazwares seems to have forgotten this aspect of the LJN style with this CM Punk figure, which they were able to include with prior figures Cody Rhodes and Darby Allin. It was after Jazwares released this CM Punk figure that they stopped this line altogether.
2nd Best: AEW Supreme Series 4 (Walmart Exclusive)
Fitting Of The Best In The World

AEW Supreme is a series created by Jazwares to rival the Mattel Ultimate Edition Series, with extra points of articulation for better posing and more accessories and interchangeable body parts. There have been some incredible releases from Jazwares, but this CM Punk figure is a thing of beauty. Accompanied by three interchangeable heads and sets of hand poses, the AEW World Title, a different set of ring trunks, a sleeveless t-shirt and his signature hoodie.

No hard feelings from Punk.
What sets this figure apart is the accuracy and how much detail is in this figure, whether it be the impressive tattoos included or the different face scans showing his slicked back hair or mid match all over the place look. When this figure was released, it was very highly sought-after and now you can’t purchase it brand new only from second hand websites.
2nd Worst: WWE Thumbpers Series 2
Not Something Collectors Are Scrambling To Place On Shelves
Manufacturer |
Date Released |
---|---|
Wicked Cool Toys |
2014 |
Whilst this figure may be cut some slack for being a kid’s toy for thumb wrestling, it cannot be overstated how awful this figure looks. Whilst it may be harder to detail a figure when it is smaller, this is something that Jakks Pacific were able to do with smaller figures in their Build’N’Brawl line in 2008.
For Wicked Cool Toys to produce this, especially with them producing the authentic scale rings that looked amazing, it’s extremely disappointing. This line would be cancelled in 2014 and two series of these figures, so they didn’t last long, which isn’t very surprising at all.
The Best: Ultimate Edition Ringside Exclusive
Inspired By Money In The Bank 2011
Besides the infamous Pipe Bomb promo cut by CM Punk,
Money in the Bank 2011 vs John Cena for the WWE Championship
was one of the main moments that cemented CM Punk as a main eventer in WWE and for the rest of his professional wrestling career. The Chicago fans were on fire and made this moment all that more special, which had to be encapsulated in figure form.
Mattel have done this moment justice in every way, including the ‘Best in the World’ t-shirt he was wearing at the time. Accompanying the figure are interchangeable hands, the WWE Championship Punk won on the night, and interchangeable heads so you can pose CM Punk over the barricade, blowing Action Figure Vince McMahon a goodbye kiss!
The Worst: WWE Titantron Live Backlash Series 15
A Terrible Throwback To Figures Of The Past
Manufacturer |
Date Released |
---|---|
Jakks Pacific |
2009 |
Jakks Pacific’s Titantron series may have been some wrestling fans childhood, with toys being released of fan favourites such as The Rock and Triple H back when the series first started in 1999. In 2009, Jakks released a throwback to these figures and included CM Punk, which completely failed. For what Jakks Pacific were releasing at the time, this figure was a complete step back with little to no detailing on the tattoos, and they didn’t bother to detail the trunks, leaving him with plain black instead of the star design.

Thankfully, this was the only CM Punk made in this line, and Jakks would go on to make some great CM Punk figures before and after this, but with these ideas, maybe it was a good idea that Mattel took over making WWE’s action figures just the year after.
